Dear You,

I laid down with the girls

and tickled their little faces

bed time thoughts

Evelyn cried thinking about death

and everything that comes with it

“What if heaven isn’t real

and our souls just sit in the ground

with our bodies

in the dark

forever?”

I told her that I really hope that isn’t the case

“Try to think about something happy

What would your heaven look like?”

She smiled with alligator tears

“It would just be a normal day

us six would be eating at Javier’s

and we would be laughing

and talking about

Riverdale and Skateboarding”

I cried too

“That sounds like the perfect kind of heaven to me”

I wiped her cheeks and smiled

“Do you think we can ever have that again mom?

Do you think the cranes will work?”

I held her

“I really hope so honey, anything is possible…”

I told you about this conversation

and thanked you for giving her

a piece of heaven on earth.

“It’s my honor”

I really hope it’s Just Like Heaven again.

Love, Me
